Scholarships for Providers' Council Members

The Providers' Council is pleased to offer three scholarships for Provider member staff pursuing higher education at the graduate level for the 2024-25 academic year.


The available scholarships include:

·         Formerly titled the "Master of Public Administration Scholarships".

 

Applications are available now and are due Friday, August 16th!

Scholarship Descriptions:


Graduate Leadership Scholarship
Created to support the promotion and development of the human services sector's workforce, the Graduate Leadership Scholarship is a one-time award of $10,000 for a Council member employee who is entering or currently enrolled in a graduate degree program.


Most accredited graduate programs are eligible provided the applicant demonstrates in their personal statement how the program is clearly related to their future contributions to the human services sector.

Foreign-Born Leader Scholarship
The Providers' Council is pleased to offer its Foreign-Born Leader Scholarship to support one dedicated human services employee.

 

This is a one-time, $5,000 award to support a foreign-born Council member employee who is entering or is currently enrolled in a graduate degree program.

Matava and Weekes Scholarships

in Partnership with Suffolk University

(Formerly titled the Master of Public Administration Scholarships)

 

The Providers' Council, in partnership with Suffolk University, will be awarding two Master of Public Administration scholarships. These scholarships are based on leadership, merit and financial need.

 

These are one-time grants of $5,000 and will be awarded to two Council member employees who are entering or currently enrolled in the MPA program at Suffolk University.

 

Eligible applicants must have successfully completed the Council's  Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management Program within the past seven years.

BFAIR (Berkshire Family & Individual Resources) received a three-year Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation for their Day Habilitation and AFC (Adult Family Care) services. The accreditation extends through 2028.
