BFAIR and Greylock Federal Credit Union Partner for Brain Health & Safety with Bicycle Helmet Distribution
March 28, 2023 (North Adams, MA) – BFAIR and Greylock Federal Credit Union partner together to raise awareness, for the second year in a row, for National Brain Injury Awareness Month.
With support from our presenting sponsor Greylock Federal Credit Union, BFAIR will be distributing bike helmets for children and adults to promote brain health and safety in Berkshire County. On Saturday, April 15
th from 10-1 PM 150 helmets for youth ages 6-13 and 100 helmets for 14+ will be distributed free-of-charge at the Ashuwilliticook Trail Head located at US 7/Rte. 8 Connector Rd, at the Berkshire Mall entrance in Lanesborough.
Tara Jacobsen, BFAIR’s Director of Development states “As an agency, we are continuously working to promote disability awareness and destigmatizing what it means to have a developmental disability, autism, or acquired brain injury. Brain Injury Awareness month and our partnership with Greylock Federal Credit Union is such a wonderful opportunity to further this work, uplift stories of survivors, promote community inclusion as well as brain health and safety.
