BFAIR’s Summer Kick Off Festival Brought the Heat

Katrina Cardillo • July 7, 2022

July 7, 2022 (North Adams, MA) – On June 11th, BFAIR had a successful community event in our First Annual Summer Kick-Off Festival that raised over $31,000. With support from 34 sponsors and 28 in-kind donations from local businesses, we were able to offer a fun-filled day full of the musical stylings of Code Blue Duo, delicious food from Adams Mason Food Truck, two mini-golf courses as part of the BFAIR-Way Mini Golf Tournament, and fifteen games and activities that were enjoyed by all. In total, over $3,000 in prizes and raffles, including those talented winners in the BFAIR-Way Tournament were distributed.

Tara Jacobsen, Fundraising & Grants Manager said of the event “Our first Summer Kick-Off Festival was an amazing way to get back into in-person events and further share the BFAIR mission with the greater community. Support that we receive through events like the Summer Kick-Off Festival and with other fundraising activities, helps us to provide essential and individualized care to persons with developmental disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury. We are so grateful to all our generous sponsors for making this event possible, the volunteers who donated their time, and to all the guests who came out to the event. We are already gearing up for next year!”

It was an enjoyable day, and we are humbled by all the guests, volunteers, vendors, donors, and sponsors who supported this event. And an incredibly special thank you to Greylock Federal Credit Union, our Beat the Heat Sponsor.
