Advocacy Efforts at the State House in Boston

Fourteen BFAIR staff members and individuals served traveled to the Boston State House on Wednesday, May 13th, for the 2026 Providers' Council Caring Force Rally to make our voices heard. Together, we advocated for increased funding for essential programs, livable wages for the Direct Support Professionals who make this work possible every day, and student loan forgiveness to strengthen and sustain the human services workforce.



The day was made even more meaningful as we traveled alongside fellow nonprofits UCP of Western Massachusetts and Berkshire County Arc, united on one bus with one shared message: people with disabilities and the professionals who support them deserve investment, opportunity, and support. We are proud to stand together in advocacy for a stronger future for our community.
